In the "before times" I liked to buy speculative concert tickets for up and coming artists playing random venues in Vancouver for not much money. As soon as I saw FKA Twigs 2 weeks video in 2014 I thought "this person is an artist" and bought tickets for her show at the Commodore Ballroom 6 months later. It was one of my favourite concert experiences ever. Not many people at the show, standing right up front with Twigs really bringing the energy like she was performing for a stadium.
I love the range that FKA Twigs has, channeling London hip-hop, Björk, Kate Bush and whoever else she wants. She is a true visionary committed to her art.
